Tom Brady’s Final Patriots Pass Auctioned for Animal Welfare

Tom Brady’s tenure with the New England Patriots came to an unexpected end with a not-so-glorious interception by Logan Ryan of the Tennessee Titans during the 2020 AFC Wild Card Game. Little did they know that this intercepted football would serve a noble purpose in the future.

Brady’s pass, intended for Mohamed Sanu, was intercepted and returned for a touchdown, sealing the Patriots’ fate and marking the conclusion of Brady’s remarkable 20-year journey with the team. Fast forward to 2022, Brady and Ryan became teammates with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It was during their time together in Tampa that Ryan approached Brady with a unique request—to sign and inscribe the football from that fateful play.

Brady, always one to support a good cause, agreed to autograph the ball with the inscription “Last Pass As A Patriot,” “1/4/20,” and “Logan Ryan INT.” This autographed football soon gained popularity on social media, capturing the attention of fans and collectors alike with its historical significance.

Both Brady and Ryan share a passion for supporting animal welfare beyond their football careers. In Tampa, they volunteered at the Tampa Bay Humane Society, showcasing their dedication to helping animals in need. Inspired by their shared commitment, Ryan made the decision to auction the iconic football through Goldin Auctions, with all proceeds benefiting the Ryan Animal Rescue Foundation (RARF), a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of animals through education and financial support to shelters and rescues.

The Wilson “Duke” football has been authenticated as the actual ball from Brady’s final pass as a Patriot and comes with a Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA. Additionally, a Letter of Provenance signed by Logan Ryan accompanies the ball, solidifying its authenticity and historical significance.

The upcoming auction presents a special opportunity for football enthusiasts and fans of Brady to own a piece of sports history while contributing to a worthy cause. The football represents more than just a game-ending play; it symbolizes new beginnings for the animals that will benefit from the auction and for the legendary quarterback who threw that memorable interception.

Anticipated to attract significant interest, the auction provides a chance for collectors to own a unique piece of football memorabilia while supporting RARF’s mission to aid in animal welfare. Interested bidders can participate in the auction through Goldin Auctions, knowing that their contributions will make a meaningful difference in the lives of countless animals in need.

This auction not only commemorates a defining moment in football history but also highlights the ongoing commitment of athletes like Ryan and Brady to give back to the community in impactful ways.
