Panini, the renowned collectibles company, is commemorating Jannik Sinner’s remarkable achievement of reaching the top spot in the ATP world rankings with a special collaboration. Hailing from Modena, Italy, Sinner is the first Italian tennis player to accomplish this feat, making the partnership with Panini all the more significant.
The venture kicked off back in 2022 when Panini and Sinner joined forces for the publication of “Piccoli grandi campioni – Manuale illustrato del tennis di Jannik Sinner” (Young Great Champions – Jannik Sinner’s Illustrated Tennis Manual) by Panini Comics. This book not only delves into tennis tips and tricks but also shares captivating stories from Sinner’s formative years in the sport. A stand-out moment came in May 2024 when Sinner was transformed into the playful “Quacknik Spinner” avatar on the cover of Topolino magazine, courtesy of Panini Comics.
Speaking about the collaboration, Sinner expressed his joy, recalling his childhood days spent collecting Panini stickers and reading their comics. He eagerly anticipates the chance to engage with his fans in a special and intimate manner through the array of products Panini is set to unveil.
The initial offering in this partnership will feature a Panini Instant trading card commemorating Sinner’s rise to the ATP summit. Fans can exclusively acquire this card through the Panini America platform. Moving forward, Panini has elaborate plans to introduce a range of trading card collections dedicated to Sinner. These collections will showcase rare memorabilia items and limited-edition cards, making them available worldwide through Panini’s e-commerce channels and select retail stores.
This announcement marks just the beginning of the extensive lineup of releases scheduled for 2024 and beyond as part of the ongoing collaboration between Panini and Jannik Sinner. This partnership not only celebrates Sinner’s sporting achievements but also cements his legacy in the world of tennis collectibles.
