Exquisite | Capsule Collection Auction Showcase

Fanatics and Sotheby’s have joined forces once again to dazzle collectors with a showcase of the crème de la crème of sports cards in their upcoming “Exquisite | Capsule Collection” auction. Following their successful summer collaboration with the “Holy Grails” auction, the duo is ready to unveil a new treasure trove of rare and historic Upper Deck Exquisite cards on December 16th, promising an auction event like no other.

The initial partnership of Fanatics and Sotheby’s during the summer resulted in the “Holy Grails” auction, where collectors witnessed the sale of remarkable cards, including the jaw-dropping $840,000 1955 Topps Roberto Clemente PSA 9 and the $432,000 2003 LeBron James Exquisite rookie patch autograph. The auction set new records and highlighted the soaring demand for premium sports cards in the collectibles market.

This time around, the spotlight will shine on the iconic Upper Deck Exquisite line, renowned for its top-notch materials, innovative designs, and coveted Rookie Patch Autographs (RPAs). The “Exquisite | Capsule Collection” will present 11 ultra-rare cards, featuring individual LeBron James masterpieces and a legendary Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Dennis Rodman triple Logoman card commemorating the Chicago Bulls’ dynasty. These cards are more than mere collectibles; they are considered art pieces, blending rarity, player significance, and historical value into one exquisite package.

The legacy of the Exquisite product line by Upper Deck is nothing short of revolutionary. Created by Karvin Cheung, Exquisite introduced the concept of high-end RPAs at unprecedented price points, challenging the norms of the sports card industry. Despite initial skepticism, Exquisite cards evolved to become the pinnacle of premium sports cards, commanding staggering prices that reflect their cultural and collectible importance.

The “Exquisite | Capsule Collection” is gearing up to captivate a global audience of collectors, investors, and sports enthusiasts. With its impeccable selection of cards and Sotheby’s renowned expertise in presenting fine collectibles, this auction is poised to set new benchmarks in the sports card market.

On December 16th, all eyes will be on this extraordinary auction event. Make sure not to miss the chance to witness, or even take part in, the sale of some of the most exceptional sports cards ever produced. The “Exquisite | Capsule Collection” auction promises to be a memorable moment in the world of sports card collecting.
